Wine, Cheese, & Jam Pairings

Drunken Goat / Jalapeno pineapple jam w/

I. Brand & Family Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a medium-bodied wine that has a natural spiciness and notes of bell pepper which will compliment the jalapeño pineapple jam. This wine has soft fruit notes which do not overwhelm the flavor of the cheese.

Grand Noir blue cheese / Ghost pepper pineapple jam- Royal Tokaji Late Harvest sweet wine

This is a dessert style wine, with notes of dried apricot, orange peel, honey, and ginger. This wine compliments the saltiness of the cheese and  the spiciness of the ghost pepper.

Brie, Prosciutto / habernero pineapple jam- Sandhi Central Coast Chardonnay

This elegant chardonnay from California’s central coast has notes of lemons, yellow apples, almonds, with mild notes of toast oak. This wine will pair beautifully with the creaminess of the brie, the fat in the prosciutto, and the tropical notes of the pineapple.

Prairie Breeze aged white cheddar/ Sweet pepper pineapple jam- Champagne Ayala Brut Majeur

This Champagne has fresh creamy notes of apple, honey, lemon, and brioche on the finish. The salty- sharpness of the cheddar will be balanced by the tartness of the bubbles. The dry Champagne also helps to bring out the sweetness in the pineapple making this an irresistible pairing.
